What if I told you…
Your period holds the key to having sustainable energy.
I see you, you’re a busy mama.
Your day starts early as you get your kids off to school before hitting the gym, then meeting with clients. You grab a quick bite to eat because your morning starts a little earlier than usual and Tuesdays are your busiest days. On your way to transfer your kids from school to basketball, tennis and dance, you carve out time to call your sister, then it’s another quick bite and it’s time to prepare dinner.
Your evenings are cr-azy, it often seems that everyone is going in a different direction and you can barely keep track. While you are at your son’s basketball game, you are texting about the family holiday get-together you are planning, sending follow up emails to your clients, and confirming your lunch date with your best friend.
Your plate is full…
of good things,
and you are juggling it pretty well.
But in the back of your mind you are tired and wondering where you fit in all of this.
When will it slow down so you can spend some time mapping out what’s next for you or read that new book that came last week.
Is it possible to have energy and feel on top of your life every day, or are you expected to feel tired and overwhelmed as your new normal?
When can you get off the treadmill of life and find yourself and your energy again?
I mean, is it even possible?
I have an answer for you: Cycle Awareness.
What if you….
Felt on top of your daily grind, that your energy levels matched your family demands each day, and they felt easy to do?
Felt on top of supporting all the basketball games, serving healthy food, meeting your clients’ needs and being connected with yourself every day?
Knew exactly how to lead your family and your work so that at the end of the day you didn’t completely burn out?
Knew exactly when to push or pull, exert or let go, go out or stay in, say yes or say no?
This is possible with Cycle Awareness.
Introducing the Cycle Awareness Workshop for Women
a workshop that teaches women to balance their life using the pattern of their menstrual cycle so they have the energy to keep up with their busy family.
A little about me…
I’ve been where you are, burning the candle at both ends serving everyone else but me and feeling exhausted and overwhelmed (and teetering on the edge of burnout). I often found myself groggy and half asleep cooking morning eggs for the kids, stepping over yesterday’s oatmeal on the floor and congratulating myself that we made it through another breakfast. I would go to slip on my shoes for school drop-off only to realize that I needed to get dressed first.
While the kids were at school, I met with two clients, swept and mopped the kitchen floor, and picked up that birthday gift for my sister before rushing to pick the kids up from school. 4 pm I would sneak into the pantry for my chocolate fix and to avoid the looming question, “what’s for dinner?”. By the time my partner was home, dinner was done and kids were in bed, I was left dazed, too tired to brush my teeth. But that school project was due tomorrow.
My days were spent meeting everyone else’s needs but mine.
I get it, parenting is not a selfish activity, but at the same time, my family deserves more than just a ghost of me going through the motions.
I felt lost in the shuffle of daily life and I didn’t have the energy to show up for my partner and my kids in the way that I wanted.
I survived on chocolate and Coke to keep my energy up, but you know the inevitable crash.
I was exhausted, but I felt forced to keep going.
That is, until I learned about Cycle Awareness.
It completely shifted the way I managed my time and to-do list and as a result,
I found sustainable energy every day.
I still had my same kids and same daily grind with work, home, and family life, but how and when I attended to specific details changed to a cyclical pattern based on my own rhythm and energy.
I looked ahead to the high energy days in my cycle to schedule outings with the kids and friend dinner dates. I also did the heavy lifting of meal preparation and client meetings during those days. This freed up my time in the days leading up to my period to finish up laundry and have my partner take over bedtime so I could hit the sack early after a massage.
When my period came, I had minimal expectations of myself, and discovered the magic of NOT doing laundry and relying on easy instant pot meals those first few days. After my period, I felt refreshed and ready to navigate my kids’ emotions calmly, and I was much more present with my partner for our end of day wind down time together.
