Yes.
Talking about periods with your teen can be fun!
You’ve got two teenage girls, and you’re pretty open about body stuff and periods.
You regularly check in about supplies they need, they tell you when they’re on their period—or you can just tell. You know the basic physiology of what’s going on in the female cycle. I mean, you bleed and then you don't for a few weeks. And you showed your girls how to use a tampon, but you’re worried they still have questions they’re too embarrassed to ask like how to soothe super bad cramps or PMS. Are their symptoms normal? How do you support them through their super intense soccer and tennis seasons?
You want them to be healthy in the long run and you know a healthy menstrual cycle is part of that, but how do you talk about it and not make it awkward?
You don’t talk about periods that much, but you wish you had an easy way to approach the subject and make it, well…normal.
Introducing Cycle Awareness for Teens
Imagine…
You had a practical way of knowing exactly where your teen is in her cycle without weird or awkward questions and can support her with what she needs.
The three of you have an easy language to use when it comes to period stuff and there’s not so much taboo around the subject; it’s just a normal part of life.
You feel confident that your teen knows how and when to use different period products.
You feel confident that your teen knows what a healthy period looks like and you talk about when things are off (or really off), and you know how to support her to get back on track.
And…her PMS actually gets better. She’s still a little moody, but it’s way better!
This is possible with the Cycle Awareness Workshop for Teens
Cycle Awareness for Teens is a workshop that teaches teens and their parents how to have a healthy menstrual cycle and an easy way to talk about it
A little bit about me…
I’ve been in your teen’s shoes, walking around a household of brothers and sisters discreetly telling my mom, “I need more supplies.” My menstrual education was my mom telling me, “when you bleed, the lining sloughs off.” What lining? And what does slough off even mean?
There is so much more I wish I knew as a teen that would have empowered me.
I would have worried less about bleeding through my pink ballet tights and known what to do to minimize my bloating days.
Now that I know…
My PMS is pretty much nonexistent.
I am softer with myself when it comes to my inner dialogue, especially when it comes to physical activities and body image.
I am friends with my body, I know when things are off and how to get back on track pretty quickly.
IT’S SO EMPOWERING.
